Why is it so well loved?
Break through the crunchy, buttery pastry to the slow cooked chicken and veggies in a creamy, flavourful sauce with a hint of mustard that makes this pie very moreish.
What's it made of?
We use extra virgin olive oil, garlic, onion, carrot, celery, peas, free-range chicken, San Elk organic vegetable stock (yum), finished with cream & wholegrain mustard - all the good stuff inside. This delicious filling is topped with spelt butter puff pastry from our friends at Careme. We use this pastry in particular as it is one of the few on the market not filled with a list of ingredients as long as my arm... The ingredients are butter, spelt flour, water, salt & vinegar - that's it. It's all puff pastry should be but at the supermarket, that's unfortunately not the case. Cooked properly, this pastry puffs up high and crunchy, its got a nutty, creamy taste that is sooo scrumptious it will change the way you look at pastry.
