This snack is timeless. It is always a winner.
This simple snack has become a staple in our household! Bites of deliciousness. Made with wholesome ingredients. It tastes like a snickers, but better. Whole Bowl husband always asks for a double batch because it just doesn’t last long enough! So I guess it’s his lucky day 💫
Start with pitted medjool dates. They are easier to work with at room temperature.
Line a baking tray (or two) with baking paper and press the dates down flat. The inside of the date should be facing down, the outside of the date facing up. Each date should be just touching the next.
Spread a thin layer of peanut butter or tahini over the dates.
Add your toppings of choice: we used goji berries, cranberries, shredded coconut and melted dark chocolate here. Add a teaspoon of coconut oil to your melted dark chocolate to make it really smooth and glossy. Crushed nuts and seeds are a great addition too.
Now pop it into the freezer for an hour or so (patience required).
The chop it up into bit size pieces and try not to eat it all at once!
